Called to Make a Difference!

INTRODUCTION

Baptist Men - Renewing Passion of Men

We need you for a renewal of your mind and spirit. I am calling you to action! Be a part of a movement of God!

Spiritual maturity does not just happen. It is the predictable result of choosing to renew your mind with God’s word on a regular basis. This can and should happen on a personal basis with a consistent devotional time.  Most of us also need to learn from others who are a little further down the path of spiritual maturity. Could you use some help to get renewed?  If so, read on.

We are interested to share the vision with you. The Baptist Men are moving into a new season of God’s plan for our Men and Church. We need you…

Who are Baptist Men?

Westside Baptist Men is a fellowship of men who are members of the church and at least eighteen years of age.  Our Men's Ministry is focused on building Christ centered men through education, small group accountability, discipleship development, and Godly fellowship with other Christian men. We intend to make an impact for Christ within our homes, at our church, in our community.

When Do They Meet?

We meet the first Wednesday night of the month at 6:30 p.m. in Room 28 across from the new kitchen by the Christian Activities Center (gym).  For more information, please contact Bjarne Hansen at (270) 293-1533 or (270) 753-6159.

Iron Sharpens Iron - Why Should You Get Involved?

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." (Pr. 27:17).

It is iron sharpening iron, the ordinary sharpening the ordinary. Average people influence other average people; meaning, you can make a difference!

This verse is not talking about a comfortable process. It involves intense heat and pounding hammers. Men that have come before understood this fact, asking the uncomfortable questions and showing complete transparency.

Regardless of past mistakes, or even current wrong doings, He is there for you. Just as the father ran to hug the prodigal son, so does God stand there with open arms for you and I. Whether we are in a far country, or even residing in the same location, the place doesn’t matter. God is there. God loves you and remains faithful.
