INTRODUCTION

Good Samaritan Program
The Good Samaritan Ministry provides financial assistance to individuals in need. To submit a request for assistance you can call the church and leave a message for the Good Samaritan committee or you can visit the agencies listed below and they can assist you with completing an application for the Good Samaritan program and fax it to our church. These are a few of the agencies that partner with the Good Samaritan Ministry to help meet the financial needs of families.

Although our goal is to share the love of Jesus with each person that requests assistance and to help them meet a physical need, we are not equipped to meet emergency requests.

Good Samaritan Program
Policy and Procedure
1.The Good Samaritan program will assist with utilities, rent and prescriptions (other forms of assistance will have to be approved by all committee members).
2. This program will help up to $100 per family, per year unless otherwise approved by committee. You will not be approved for the $100 all at one time.
3. This program will not assist with phone, cable, charge cards, car insurance or car payments (other items not listed may be approved/denied after voted on by the committee members).
4. Person requesting assistance must sign the release form or we will not be able to provide assistance.
5. To receive assistance you must first exhaust all other community assistance programs.
6. You must be a resident of Calloway County to receive assistance (there may be exceptions to this statement only when approved by committee).
7. Applications are available at the referral agencies. Call the church office for a list of agencies.
8. The Good Samaritan Committee members have the option to verify any information they feel necessary in order to decide on approval of request.
9. All requests have to be approved and signed by at least 3 committee members.
